9 Weeks!

Well we skipped week 8… Oops time gets away from me! We had another dr appointment yesterday and had a ultrasound too! Baby B is starting to look like a actual real baby! I took a video and sent it to J so she could see. The baby was even wiggling around in there, so adorable! They also said the heart rate was 172 this time. I’m feeling really good other then just being so darn tired! Although the last couple of days I have felt like my energy is coming back woohoo. I do get slightly nauseous from time to time but nothing bad at all. I’m just getting excited for the second trimester so I can start feeling the baby move that’s my favorite part! I’ll go back to the dr at 12 weeks so that’s only 3 weeks away. It will just be a regular appointment I don’t think I will have an ultrasound or anything.

Now let’s see what baby B is doing this week!

Would you believe your baby is only an embryo for one more week and is already developing into a fetus? She’s now about one inch long, the size of a medium green olive (but no martinis, please). The head has straightened out and is more fully developed and the ears are continuing to grow, making baby look more human. Plus, toes are visible, and all of baby’s essential organs (heart, brain, kidneys, liver and lungs) have begun to develop. Your soon-to-be-fetus is also making spontaneous movements of her arms and legs now that minuscule muscles are beginning to develop, though you won’t feel your tiny dancer for at least another month or two. While it’s way too early to feel anything, it’s not too early to hear something (possibly). Your baby’s heart is developed enough — and has grown large enough — for its beats to be heard with a Doppler, a handheld ultrasound device that amplifies the lub-dub sound the heart makes. But don’t worry if your practitioner can’t pick up the sound of your baby’s heartbeat yet. It just means your shy gal is hiding in the corner of your uterus or has her back facing out, making it hard for the Doppler to find its target. In a few weeks, or at your next visit, that miraculous sound is certain to be audible for your listening pleasure.

22 weeks!!!

This little lady is really on the move! She loves to stay up at night!!! She gets excited around 8:30/9:00 I think because thats when I put the kids to bed so she finally gets a little quiet time lol. She wanted to play all night the other night and shes getting sooo strong shes keeping me up! We got up around 4:30 AM for another play time lol. But I LOVE every second of it! What a sweet baby she is! Im starting to get bigger and bigger im not a huge fan of this weeks pic of me… Im still craving ICE I cant get enough I eat cups and cups of it ALL day long! Jon and Molly finished there stories for the belly buds! Seriously if you dont have them you should get them sooo neat. Now Ellie can listen to mommy and daddy every night!!! Now the fun stuff Ellie is doing!!!   Your Baby

Your Mini’s hands have grown bigger and stronger and the nerve endings in her fingers have developed her sense of touch. She’s in there testing out her newfound abilities by touching her face and grabbing the umbilical cord. Other cool developments:

You’re already raising a little Einstein. Your baby’s brain is developing at a clip this week and will continue to do so until she’s five years old (so load up on the Omega 3)!

Baby’s hair is now a short, bright white crop (Billy Idol, eat your heart out!). No matter what color it will end up—red, blonde, black—all babies’ hair lacks pigment at this point.

Your baby has started growing taste buds and may be able to detect strong flavors in the amniotic fluid. If you could see inside, you might catch her sticking out her tongue for a taste and then grimacing, a sign that perhaps you should chill on the chili powder.

Your baby now weighs almost a pound and measures almost 11 inches from her head to her heel, which is how the Stretch Armstrong in your uterus will be measured from here on out. Up ’til now your baby’s legs were curled tight up against her torso, so she was measured from her head to her bottom (or crown to rump) and not head to toe. This week your mini is about as long as a package of Oreos and as heavy as a large bag of tortilla chips. Who’s hungry?

13 weeks!!!

I’m doing great!!! I’m feeling good and my belly is growing! I’m getting SOOO excited for Christmas this year I know kailynn will have so much more fun this year! I’m giving Molly and Jon belly buds for Christmas they are really cool! They will be able to record them selves talking reading whatever songs they like and I can put it on my belly so the baby can hear mommy and daddy!!! I feel like its perfect for our situation!  To all the other surros or IPs reading this look them up!!! And I cant believe next month  they will be back in town to visit baby for the 20 week ultrasound!!!! There still undecided on if they will find out the sex. I’m excited no matter what!!! So here is what baby Jolly is up to this week!                                                      Your Baby in Week 13 of Pregnancy

What’s up with your baby? Well, besides being as large as a peach now, that big old noggin of hers is now about half the size of her crown-to-rump length (that’s one reason why your little peach looks more like an alien from outer space at this point). By the time you give birth, her body will catch up, measuring three-quarters of her total size. What else is going on in there? Tiny bones are beginning to form in her arms and legs, the intestines are beginning to move from the umbilical cord to the abdomen, and the vocal cords are well under construction (the first step toward saying, “I love you, Mommy!”). And because she can move her arms and legs in a jerky fashion, she may be able to get her thumb into her mouth (a habit that may come in handy for self-soothing when she’s a newborn.

Woohoo 12 weeks!!!!

Its officially the safe zone!!! I’m so glad now I’m going to tell kailynn this week! I’m not really sure how much she will understand she’s only three but she is also very smart!!! I think she will be happy to know another one will not be moving in to play with all her stuff lol. Im feeling pretty good other then I feel like I’m getting big fast! I was thinking the other day about how I never thought I would get to this point and now look at me!!! I’m soooo glad God blessed me with such a great mommy and daddy to have a baby for!!! I’m still amazed that in like 6 months I get to give the most amazing gift to such a deserving family! I try to put myself in there shoes as much as I can. I’m sure they are so excited and worried just like any first time parents but there excitement and worry is so much more they have prayed and dreamed for this and its finally happening. I don’t think I will ever be able to understand the emotions they are going through but I try!  People still ask a lot about me and how I will feel after I give them there baby and don’t I love jolly… I’m finding it hard to answer that question I get why they would ask but its hard to make people understand.  I went into this knowing its not my baby. I was actively seeking a family that needed my help. I’m very sure I will be a bit sad not getting to feel baby Jolly everyday or see Jolly everyday. That’s also the perk I get to go home and sleep ALL night!!  It really is not the same as my own pregnancy I don’t feel like this is my baby its going to come out and look nothing like my kids I think that will be weird for me lol. As far as loving this baby I love Jolly with all my heart just like I do my own kids but like I said its just different! I’m not sure if people will ever really understand I think only other surrogates get what I’m saying and that’s ok. I tell everyone this is not for everyone but I feel like its for me! Now for the fun stuff what is Jolly up to thus week!!!             How your baby’s growing:

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby’s fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won’t be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby’s brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

I’m glad it looks smaller today lol.

11 weeks!!!!

Nothing really crazy to report for week 11. I’m still tired some days some days I feel great! I’m hungry a lot!!! No real cravings Just food lol.  I’m excited for thanksgiving food!!! So here is how baby Jolly is!!! That’s what important anyway!   Slightly more than two inches long now and weighing about a third of an ounce, your fetus is growing by leaps and bounds when you are 11 weeks pregnant. And so is his or her head, which is equal in length to the rest of the body (don’t worry — all fetuses are top-heavy). On the crown of that large head (and over the rest of the body), hair follicles are forming. Fingernail and toenail beds begin to develop this week and by next week, the nails themselves will start to grow (so don’t forget to add a baby nail clipper to your to-buy list).Your baby’s body is straightening and his or her torso is lengthening (sounds like a yoga pose, doesn’t it?). Other poses your baby can assume now: stretches, somersaults, and forward rolls. And while you can’t tell this baby’s gender by its cover yet, testes are developing if it’s a boy and ovaries if it’s a girl.

I feel like my belly went POP!!!

10 weeks!!!

I seen my regular obgyn today wooohooo!!! We tried to do the Doppler to find the heartbeat but couldn’t so we got a surprise ultrasound!!!! Molly and Jon got to hear there babys heartbeat for the first time! I was so excited to see baby Jolly moving around like crazy but also so very sad I really wanted Molly and Jon to see it! I wish we lived closer so they could come to all appointments Dr Sammons printed out some pics I can send them though! I could see the arms and legs and tiny feet! Jolly was going crazy in there!!! It was honestly the coolest unltrasound I have had! The baby was only 3 centimeters! Now I go back in another month to recheck everything!  Also Molly called tonight and said they want to get me a prenatal massage! I’m such a lucky girl. Ricky didn’t treat me this good when I had his kids lol. I told Molly they are really out doing Ricky!!! I have the best intended parents in the world what a lucky baby this is!!!                                                                   Your Baby in Week 10 of Pregnancy

Your baby (now the size of a prune) has small indentations on his legs (soon to be knees and ankles!), and his tiny arms even have elbows that bend (how is that for magical?). Inside that little mouth, tiny buds of baby teeth are forming under the gums. His stomach and kidneys are kicking into gear, producing digestive juices and urine, and if it’s a boy, his testes are making testosterone (how manly!). The first pic is baby Jollys legs up in the air the second is the tiny feet!!!

                                                 9 Weeks Pregnant!!!

At nine weeks pregnant, you and baby have made two big accomplishments: You’ve made it to month three, and she’s no longer an embryo — now she’s a fetus. Basically that means she’s becoming more and more baby-like, and you’re inching closer and closer to leaving the nasties of the first trimester behind you. Just one more month to go! By now, you’ve probably visited the OB, and maybe even seen baby’s tiny heartbeat on the ultrasound. Exciting stuff, huh? Your baby’s the size of a green olive! She’s gaining steam! At 9 weeks, your fetus measures around .9 inches and weighs about .07 ounces.Share this with family and friends your baby at 9 weeksThis is a milestone. She’s no longer an embryo — now she’s a fetus! She’s developing more distinct facial features. And she might now have a strong enough heartbeat to be picked up by a fetal doppler

Last ultrasound.

Ok so i went friday for our last ultra sound! I went to a new office so i had to fill out paperwork i didnt have to do this with my ob and they asked all kinds of questions about the baby and if the father was in my life and suported me lol… So i ask the lady nicely if i had to fill this all out ahe said yes so i told her i had a diffrent situation. she asked what it was. i said well im not the babys mom. she looked at me like i was crazy and laughed i said no really im a surrogate so this is not my child and yes both parents are suportive but i dont see them everyday. She didnt know what to say so she just said i needed it fill it out and put down his info so i did the best i could they wanted all of jons family backround and mine! so i just said everything looked great lol. Then i got in the room and the lady was very kind but said i couldnt skype with molly or jon. I was so sad for them this was the first one they missed. I called and said sorry they wont let me skype or call you I’m sure they were disappointed but really what could we do. I called right after and they said baby looked great I’m 8 weeks due date now looking like june 14 or 15! The heart rate was now 170 and i got to hear it!!! (I couldn’t recored it for them i tried that too)Baby Jolly is moving right along. I’m beyond happy for them and still in awe that they trust me this much!!! I mean that’s a lot of trust to put into somone! I’m still super tired and lazy and VERY MOODY! Poor ricky takes the brunt of it all. Sometimes I feel bad for him but then I think if he knew how hard it was to make a baby all day and night with all kinds of extra hormones he would be just as grouchy!  Probably more grouchy because he’s a man and men don’t handle things well anyway lol. I decided to start putting in what the baby is up to each week also so at 8 weeks there’s a lot going on!!!                           Your Baby in Week 8 of Pregnancy

Your baby is growing at an amazing rate — about a millimeter every day — and now is the size of a large raspberry. Your little berry is looking a lot less reptilian (even though she has webbed fingers and toes, her tail is just about gone) and a lot more baby-like these days, as her lips, nose, eyelids, legs, and back continue to take shape. Her heart is beating at the incredible rate of 150 times per minute — about twice as fast as yours! And even though you can’t yet feel it, she’s now making spontaneous movements as she twitches her tiny trunk and limb buds.

Jon and Molly were here!!!

Well we all had a great time when they were here! We Got to see baby Jolly in there he/she wasn’t moving but boy was the heartbeat going!! It was 129 beats per min!! Then we all were able to talk with Dr. sammons. I LOVE her! She gave us a due date of June 11th!! Then we went out for lunch i picked tonys in St Charles on main street. Then we waked around and chatted. I have been getting super nausea!!! I never had that with my kids! Dr.Sammons gave me some pills to help so far no luck lol. I woke up last night at 3:00 thinking I was going to throw up every where! Gross Ricky went and got me some water and I finally fell back asleep. So far today I feel ok. So let’s all pray I don’t get sick!!!! I don’t know how normal girls do it getting sick everyday! Dr. Sammons did say it was most likely because of all the meds I’m on. So I’m hoping when I get off them ill be better! So next Friday will be one more ultrasound then I get to go to normal once a month check ups!!!

Only two more days!!!

I’m so excited for Molly and Jon to be here on Friday!!! I’m sure they are too lol. I had my first customer yesterday ask how far along I was!!!! WHAT…. I said well I am pregnant but it’s very new! He said well how far are you I said well like 6 1/2 weeks!!! Then the man says OH well I thought you were a lot further then that!!! (Men are idiots and jerks) first off way to make me feel huge lol and I won’t be wearing that dress again!!! Also night nausea is in full swing! I’m not throwing up but just super gross feeling. But by the time I wake up I feel fine I just sleep through it! That’s not hard to do since all I want to do is SLEEP. I love any day off so I can nap with the kids!!! My house looks like crap but I don’t care I just keep sleeping lol. So I took a picture of myself so you can all see my huge fat baby bump this man called me out on lol.
