24 weeks!

Not a very eventful week… I have a dr appointment on Thursday im excited about that! Im still eating all the ice I can get my hands on! Sometimes two 44oz gas station cups a day! I literally feel like I need it ALL the time and get sad when it looks like my cup is getting low because I will have to go back to the gas station for the GOOD ice or suffer with the kind from my fridge. (Call me crazy its NOT the same) I’ve been SUPER hormonal this week just very angry about everything! I have a short fuse lol. I had a few nights that I slept very good so that was nice! I still pee all night long. Ellie loves to kick around I can now feel her in my ribs and kicking my bladder!  Shes sooo fun already lol. Im excited Jon and Molly will be back soon for another ultrasound!  I know Ellie is excited too! So this is what shes been up to this week! Your baby weighs more than a pound and a half right now and sports a crown-to-rump length of about eight and a half inches (standard letter size!).

Wondering what (and who) your baby will look like? If you had a baby camera, you’d almost be able to tell by now. That beautiful face (though still tiny) is almost fully formed. What’s still missing from the picture is the fat that will be piled on under baby’s skin. Until those fat deposits are made, that very tender skin is still very transparent, which means a close look would let you see clear through to all the organs, bones, and blood vessels. Fortunately, that see-through look won’t last much longer. Babies at this stage of fetal development are gaining about six ounces each week — with much of that gain coming from fat, in addition to growing organs, bones, and muscle.

What’s been playing on your little rocker’s stereo system these days? All kinds of sounds can be heard by your baby in your womb: from air exhaling from your lungs (deep breath now), those gastric gurgles produced by your stomach and intestines, your voice and your partner’s (which your baby will be able to recognize at birth), and even very loud sounds such as honking horns, barking dogs, or a wailing fire truck.

Week 23!

Boy we are just trucking right along! Im still going good! Im still getting the pregnancy headaches but its not to bad. My stretching ligaments are really hurting now and I cant sleep at night because I cant get comfortable or Ellie wants to play lol! But I still LOVE every single second! I can already tell she is a fun little girl with tons of energy!!! Im still craving my ice like crazy!!! Super exciting news a couple nights ago Ellie kicked soooo hard ricky seen it! So I hurried so we could get it on video for mommy and daddy! It took awhile but she did it again! That was the first time I could see it on the outside too! Im so glad we have technology today to share this stuff with Molly and Jon! I cant wait for them to feel her too!!! So this is what Ellie has been up to this week! Your Baby

At eight inches and slightly over a pound, your baby is the size and shape of a small doll. (But then, you already knew that you were carrying a living doll, didn’t you?) This week marks the beginning of some serious weight gain. Your baby’s weight in the next four weeks alone should double (and you may feel as though yours is too).

You have probably heard your developing baby’s heartbeat through a Doppler a number of times already (though you never get tired of hearing it), but by now you can also hear it through a standard stethoscope. What a heart throb!

Your baby’s skin is reddish in color now because of the developing blood vessels underneath (remember, the skin is very thin still). It also hangs loosely from his or her little body at this point. That’s because the skin grows faster than the fat develops during fetal growth. But don’t worry. By the time your baby is born, he or she will be pleasantly plump and filled out — from chubby cheeks to chubby toes.

22 weeks!!!

This little lady is really on the move! She loves to stay up at night!!! She gets excited around 8:30/9:00 I think because thats when I put the kids to bed so she finally gets a little quiet time lol. She wanted to play all night the other night and shes getting sooo strong shes keeping me up! We got up around 4:30 AM for another play time lol. But I LOVE every second of it! What a sweet baby she is! Im starting to get bigger and bigger im not a huge fan of this weeks pic of me… Im still craving ICE I cant get enough I eat cups and cups of it ALL day long! Jon and Molly finished there stories for the belly buds! Seriously if you dont have them you should get them sooo neat. Now Ellie can listen to mommy and daddy every night!!! Now the fun stuff Ellie is doing!!!   Your Baby

Your Mini’s hands have grown bigger and stronger and the nerve endings in her fingers have developed her sense of touch. She’s in there testing out her newfound abilities by touching her face and grabbing the umbilical cord. Other cool developments:

You’re already raising a little Einstein. Your baby’s brain is developing at a clip this week and will continue to do so until she’s five years old (so load up on the Omega 3)!

Baby’s hair is now a short, bright white crop (Billy Idol, eat your heart out!). No matter what color it will end up—red, blonde, black—all babies’ hair lacks pigment at this point.

Your baby has started growing taste buds and may be able to detect strong flavors in the amniotic fluid. If you could see inside, you might catch her sticking out her tongue for a taste and then grimacing, a sign that perhaps you should chill on the chili powder.

Your baby now weighs almost a pound and measures almost 11 inches from her head to her heel, which is how the Stretch Armstrong in your uterus will be measured from here on out. Up ’til now your baby’s legs were curled tight up against her torso, so she was measured from her head to her bottom (or crown to rump) and not head to toe. This week your mini is about as long as a package of Oreos and as heavy as a large bag of tortilla chips. Who’s hungry?

Im back to craving ice I did this with my two kids it really makes no sense but I HAVE to HAVE it lol!!! I crunch it all day. Im also getting a little heart burn or indigestion I guess it feels like acid in my throat. It only lasts a little bit normally when I lay down at night.
