15 weeks!

Sorry guys im super late with this post but were now 15 weeks. Its going sooo fast im sad for me because I LOVE being pregnant but soo happy for Jon and Molly. I can’t imagine the excitement they must be feeling getting to prepare for there little baby! So for Christmas they really spoiled me too much!!! I got yummy popcorn from Garretts! Then on Christmas eve I had two Chicago pizzas delivered and two cookies they were sooo good!!! Then Christmas morning I opened my last box it had two bags one for Kailynn and Everett! They each got a puppy that looked just like there dog Murphy!  Kailynn just loved it. She kept saying how soft he was lol. Ricky got a beer of the month club! Hes very excited about that! I got the best gift of all I think lol. A Pandora bracelet with three super cute charms!!! One from Molly and Jon and Baby how sweet is that! They got all of our gifts too! We gave them the belly buds to talk to the baby and a casserole dish for Jon and a giant wine glass for Molly that says mommy’s sippy cup lol. And a picture frame with the babys heartbeat and countdown blocks!!! So needless to say it was a great Christmas other then me catching a stomach bug I was sooo sick I threw up all day Christmas eve and didn’t feel well Christmas day so we skipped going to my parents but today I feel lots better!!! Now the fun stuff this is what baby jolly was up to this week!!! How your baby’s growing:

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She’s busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she’s likely to move away from the beam. There’s not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby’s a boy or a girl! (Don’t be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby’s sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby’s position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to “hide the goods.”)

14 weeks!!!

Today is our next Dr. appointment!!! I’m so very excited. I getting a head start on this I won’t post until after though. I was just looking at my blog info and WOW have a lot of people looked at this so I thought it would be fun to tell you guys!!! I have had 6,165 people read so far! From all over too! People from Canada,Brazil,Australia,United Arab Emirates,Germany,Italy,Spain,United Kingdom,Poland,Ireland,Greece,Jordan,Portugal,India,New Zealand,Croatia,South Africa,Argentina and France!!! Whoooo knew so many people from all over would read!!! I really hope this helps people understand why I choose to do this and all the love that goes into it! I hope this helps other girls learn about the process of it all and the IPs know that people will help them make their dreams come true!!! Now the fun stuff how’s baby Jolly!!!! Big news last Thursday December 12 I felt baby Jolly move!!! I know I’m still very early on but I swear I know it was baby it was only one quick move and I haven’t felt it since but it was for sure not gas lol!!! They said online you can feel earlier with each pregnancy! I can’t wait to get the daily kicks!!! Dr Sammons said everything looked great heart rate was 145 she said it was perfect!!!

How your baby’s growing:
This week’s big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he’ll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you’re having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby’s stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body’s growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that’s in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He’s starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby’s liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it’s doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Your little pugilist’s hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active

And thanks katelyn for the great pic lol

13 weeks!!!

I’m doing great!!! I’m feeling good and my belly is growing! I’m getting SOOO excited for Christmas this year I know kailynn will have so much more fun this year! I’m giving Molly and Jon belly buds for Christmas they are really cool! They will be able to record them selves talking reading whatever songs they like and I can put it on my belly so the baby can hear mommy and daddy!!! I feel like its perfect for our situation!  To all the other surros or IPs reading this look them up!!! And I cant believe next month  they will be back in town to visit baby for the 20 week ultrasound!!!! There still undecided on if they will find out the sex. I’m excited no matter what!!! So here is what baby Jolly is up to this week!                                                      Your Baby in Week 13 of Pregnancy

What’s up with your baby? Well, besides being as large as a peach now, that big old noggin of hers is now about half the size of her crown-to-rump length (that’s one reason why your little peach looks more like an alien from outer space at this point). By the time you give birth, her body will catch up, measuring three-quarters of her total size. What else is going on in there? Tiny bones are beginning to form in her arms and legs, the intestines are beginning to move from the umbilical cord to the abdomen, and the vocal cords are well under construction (the first step toward saying, “I love you, Mommy!”). And because she can move her arms and legs in a jerky fashion, she may be able to get her thumb into her mouth (a habit that may come in handy for self-soothing when she’s a newborn.

Woohoo 12 weeks!!!!

Its officially the safe zone!!! I’m so glad now I’m going to tell kailynn this week! I’m not really sure how much she will understand she’s only three but she is also very smart!!! I think she will be happy to know another one will not be moving in to play with all her stuff lol. Im feeling pretty good other then I feel like I’m getting big fast! I was thinking the other day about how I never thought I would get to this point and now look at me!!! I’m soooo glad God blessed me with such a great mommy and daddy to have a baby for!!! I’m still amazed that in like 6 months I get to give the most amazing gift to such a deserving family! I try to put myself in there shoes as much as I can. I’m sure they are so excited and worried just like any first time parents but there excitement and worry is so much more they have prayed and dreamed for this and its finally happening. I don’t think I will ever be able to understand the emotions they are going through but I try!  People still ask a lot about me and how I will feel after I give them there baby and don’t I love jolly… I’m finding it hard to answer that question I get why they would ask but its hard to make people understand.  I went into this knowing its not my baby. I was actively seeking a family that needed my help. I’m very sure I will be a bit sad not getting to feel baby Jolly everyday or see Jolly everyday. That’s also the perk I get to go home and sleep ALL night!!  It really is not the same as my own pregnancy I don’t feel like this is my baby its going to come out and look nothing like my kids I think that will be weird for me lol. As far as loving this baby I love Jolly with all my heart just like I do my own kids but like I said its just different! I’m not sure if people will ever really understand I think only other surrogates get what I’m saying and that’s ok. I tell everyone this is not for everyone but I feel like its for me! Now for the fun stuff what is Jolly up to thus week!!!             How your baby’s growing:

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby’s fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won’t be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby’s brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

I’m glad it looks smaller today lol.
