Baby!!!!! Lol so first off poor Molly and Jon’s flight was delayed they had to get another flight then that one was delayed! I was not going to make it to the airport on time so ricky had to go! Our appointment was supposed to be at 11:30 but we got in at 12:15!!! Thanks to my amazing dr and the ultrasound lady who stayed over a hour past her shift!! The ultrasound went great baby Jolly looked sooo sweet we seen fingers and toes and ears and the nose I just bake the cutest babys ever!!!! Then they said its a GIRL!!!! It was so exciting. Ill update more later im tired and need a nap!

Im sooo excited to see if jolly is a boy or girl!!! What a fun time this will be!!! And Jon and Molly will get to see baby again! Jolly is very excited to see and hear mommy and daddy tomorrow! I told jolly all about it today and jolly is a wiggle worm tonight!  Im sure ill let everyone know tomorrow but it may be later so try to wait lol.

Well were at another week! As of today we only have 4 more days to see if baby Jolly is a boy or girl!!! I still think girl lol. Were all sooo excited. Im hoping Jolly wants to move a lot so we get some neat pics! It should be a 3d ultrasound and they said they will video it!!! How nice they never did that with my baby’s!  I think that will be a great keepsake for them to have! Im still in shock that were finding out so soon since I always waited for birth for my kids this is so different and exciting!  Not to much to report im just getting bigger and loving it!!!  As for baby….

  Six inches long this week and about eight ounces in weight, your baby is the size of a large mango.

Your little action figure is able to choreograph Matrix-like moves this week. Arms and legs are finally in proportion, neurons are now connected between the brain and muscles, and cartilage throughout the body is turning to bone. All these upgrades combine to give your baby more control over limb movements. Which explains all that kicking, stretching, and bodysurfing (or rather bellysurfing) you’ve possibly started feeling by now.

Something else going on this week: Your baby is getting a cheesy varnish. Say what? Yup — a protective substance called vernix caseosa (vernix is the Latin word for varnish; caseosa is cheese) now covers your baby’s skin. It’s greasy and white and is made up of lanugo (that downy hair), oil from your baby’s glands, and dead skin cells. This waxy “cheese” may not sound too appetizing or attractive, but it’s there for good reason: Vernix protects your baby’s sensitive skin from the surrounding amniotic fluid. Without it, your baby would look very wrinkled at birth (sort of what you’d look like if you soaked in a bath for nine months). Some babies — especially those born early — will still be covered with vernix at the delivery, so you might get a look at your baby’s first anti-wrinkle cream.

Wow it all goes soo fast! Im loving feeling baby jolly move around in there! Jon and Molly have there flights booked for the 24! Im sooo excited for them to see baby again! I’ve been feeling good having some headaches but I know that’s normal.       Now about baby!!! This week, your baby is hitting the height chart at five and a half inches long (remember, that’s crown to rump) and weighs about five ounces (the weight of that boneless chicken breast you’re making for dinner).

And now for the skill of the week (drum roll please…): The art of the yawn has been mastered by your baby (someone’s sleepy!). In fact, you might catch a glimpse of that adorable yawn if you’re getting an ultrasound this month. You’ll also catch a glimpse of all the fetal movement your baby’s doing — twists, rolls, kicks, and punches. And would you believe your baby is finally big enough for you to start feeling those movements now (or anytime in the next few weeks). So get ready!

Something you won’t see on the ultrasound, but you’ll know is in working order, is your baby’s nervous system, which is maturing rapidly at this time. Nerves, now covered with a substance called myelin (which speeds messages from nerve cell to nerve cell), are forming more complex connections. And those in the brain are further specializing into the ones that serve the senses of touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing. Talking about hearing, your baby’s is growing more acute, making your little one more conscious of sounds that come from inside your body (which means you could both be listening to each other hiccup — a skill that your baby has by now).

Sorry I skipped week 16 lol the weeks seem to go so fast! Everything has been going just perfect. I love feeling this tiny baby move! It dosnt happen as often as I would like yet but I know it will soon. I love the big kicks and jabs! Jon and Molly have decided to find out the sex of the baby and im sooo excited this will be a first for me as I have always had it be a surprise with my own two! I asked if they thought they knew what it might be she said they think girl! Funny because I think the same thing!!! I can’t wait to see if were right now lol. So all the fun baby news this week!                 How big is your baby at 17 weeks pregnant? About five inches long and more than three and a half ounces  — the size of your open hand. (Open the other one too and imagine your baby cradled in both your arms right after delivery!)  Body fat (baby’s, that is) is beginning to form and will continue to accumulate through the end of your pregnancy.  By the time your baby is born, body fat will make up about two-thirds of his or her weight (and will make all those chubby parts especially yummy).
 
Your baby is almost certainly listening up by now. In fact, loud noises — the dog barking, the doorbell ringing — will actually startle your baby (and also get him or her used to such noises; for instance, fetuses who regularly hear a dog barking will become babies who sleep right through Fido’s outbursts).  Your baby’s eyes (which have fortunately finished their migration  to the front of his or her head) are making small side-to-side movements and can even perceive some light, though the eyelids are still sealed.  And since practice makes perfect, your baby is sharpening his or her sucking and swallowing skills in preparation for that first (and second…and third) suckle at your breast or bottle. In fact, most of the survival reflexes that your baby will have at birth are being perfected in utero right now.

And here’s some proof that your baby is truly one of a kind (as if you needed any!). Within the next week or so, the pads on your baby’s fingertips and toes will become adorned with completely individual swirls and creases (aka fingerprints).

Sorry guys im super late with this post but were now 15 weeks. Its going sooo fast im sad for me because I LOVE being pregnant but soo happy for Jon and Molly. I can’t imagine the excitement they must be feeling getting to prepare for there little baby! So for Christmas they really spoiled me too much!!! I got yummy popcorn from Garretts! Then on Christmas eve I had two Chicago pizzas delivered and two cookies they were sooo good!!! Then Christmas morning I opened my last box it had two bags one for Kailynn and Everett! They each got a puppy that looked just like there dog Murphy!  Kailynn just loved it. She kept saying how soft he was lol. Ricky got a beer of the month club! Hes very excited about that! I got the best gift of all I think lol. A Pandora bracelet with three super cute charms!!! One from Molly and Jon and Baby how sweet is that! They got all of our gifts too! We gave them the belly buds to talk to the baby and a casserole dish for Jon and a giant wine glass for Molly that says mommy’s sippy cup lol. And a picture frame with the babys heartbeat and countdown blocks!!! So needless to say it was a great Christmas other then me catching a stomach bug I was sooo sick I threw up all day Christmas eve and didn’t feel well Christmas day so we skipped going to my parents but today I feel lots better!!! Now the fun stuff this is what baby jolly was up to this week!!! How your baby’s growing:

Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She’s busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she’s likely to move away from the beam. There’s not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby’s a boy or a girl! (Don’t be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby’s sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby’s position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to “hide the goods.”)

Today is our next Dr. appointment!!! I’m so very excited. I getting a head start on this I won’t post until after though. I was just looking at my blog info and WOW have a lot of people looked at this so I thought it would be fun to tell you guys!!! I have had 6,165 people read so far! From all over too! People from Canada,Brazil,Australia,United Arab Emirates,Germany,Italy,Spain,United Kingdom,Poland,Ireland,Greece,Jordan,Portugal,India,New Zealand,Croatia,South Africa,Argentina and France!!! Whoooo knew so many people from all over would read!!! I really hope this helps people understand why I choose to do this and all the love that goes into it! Big news last Thursday December 12 I felt baby Jolly move!!! I know I’m still very early on but I swear I know it was baby it was only one quick move and I haven’t felt it since but it was for sure not gas lol!!! They said online you can feel earlier with each pregnancy! I can’t wait to get the daily kicks!!! Dr Sammons said everything looked great heart rate was 145 she said it was perfect!!!

How your baby’s growing:
This week’s big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he’ll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you’re having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.
In other news: Your baby’s stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body’s growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that’s in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He’s starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby’s liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it’s doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Your little pugilist’s hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active
