Everything has been going pretty well I have been noticing more contractions! I’m trying to stay on top of being hydrated! We just decided to cut back on some of my hours at work so I can make sure I’m drinking enough and keeping baby Grace in for awhile longer!!! She’s moving lots and they are big moves like a knee or elbow stabbing out of me lol. I’m so sad I only have about 5 more weeks with this little lady before she makes her big entrance! I know she has lots of family and friends that can’t wait to get ahold of her though! I’m getting a little anxious knowing it’s almost time! This is when things start to get exciting so I’m trying to focus on every little thing. (Hoping I’ll be ahead of the game) haha we all know babies come when they are good and ready! At my next dr appointment she said she will most likely check me a bit early just to see where we are at… She did say we shouldn’t be surprised if I’m 2 or 3 cm dilated since it’s my 4th pregnancy. She did say she would be surprised if I were more or less then that so we shall see!
Here is what miss Grace has been up to this week!
What’s new this week? Your baby is clocking in at five pounds and could be as tall as 20 inches by now, and the vernix (the white coating protecting your baby’s skin) is getting thicker.
This week, a boy’s testicles start making their way down from his abdomen to their final destination: his scrotum (look out below!). While about 3 to 4 percent of boys are born with undescended testicles, it’s nothing to worry about — they usually head downtown before junior turns a year old.
In other baby-related developments, those tiny fingernails have probably reached the tips of his fingers by now — and getting ready for that first postpartum manicure.
